OpenClinica Product Editions
The OpenClinica Community Edition provides the fundamental EDC and clinical data management functionality for your clinical studies. The Community Edition gives open source adopters the flexibility to:
- Easily download, install, evaluate, and use OpenClinica at no cost
- View and modify OpenClinica source code
- Participate in OpenClinica community development projects
Because OpenClinica uses the "Open Core" model for software development, you can be confident that both OpenClinica Community Edition and Enterprise Edition share the same core open source-licensed code. That makes it easy to migrate from Community to Enterprise. The OpenClinica Community Edition is distributed by Akaza "as-is" and can be modified and redistributed under the terms of the GNU LGPL open source license and Akaza Research Trademark Policy.
The OpenClinica Enterprise Edition is a certified build that is ideal for mission-critical settings. It offers:

Enterprise Edition is available as part of OpenClinica Enterprise Core, Core RCT, or as a standalone.
